Christianne Ireland, Unity’s Voluntary Sector Support Manager says, “ Volunteers make the world a better place to be in – this is surely something worth celebrating. As a society, we increasingly rely on helping each other as volunteers. Its vitally important that we collectively value and recognise their selfless contributions to our local communities.
“Everyone likes to feel valued, no more so than your volunteers. Without them so many activities, support networks, will fail to deliver their core purposes. Like a garden, we need to nurture, so as to grow, retain and develop your volunteers.
“So, a call out to ALL Test Valley Organisations, Community Groups, Charities, and individuals, you shouldn’t wait. If you know a great volunteer or group of volunteers in your community then nominate them for the Annual 2024 Unity Volunteering Awards”.
