Both staff and patients accessing the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Department at Andover War Memorial Hospital are benefitting from a range of new exercise equipment donated by Valley Leisure Ltd.
The ‘Inclusive Fitness Initiative’ accredited kit is endorsed by the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) – the national governing body for developing sport for disabled people – and features controls with accessibility by both disabled and non-disabled people in mind such as high visibility adjustors, raised iconography on control panels and wider pedals with heel straps to prevent feet slipping.
Rebecca Webber, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at AWMH said “We are delighted with the kit donated by Valley Leisure; it has been put to good use immediately with patients already seeing the benefit.”

Valley Leisure Ltd donated an IFI accredited Treadmill, Upright Cycle and Recumbent Cycle to the MSK team which are now being used by patients such as those participating in strength and balance exercise classes and cardiac rehabilitation exercise classes at Andover War Memorial Hospital.
