White Ribbon Campaign to Unite Andover in Stand Against Domestic Abuse

Finding Freedom From Abuse, a local domestic abuse charity, is calling on the Andover community to come together for this year’s White Ribbon Campaign on Thursday 27th November 2025.

The global movement urges men and boys to take an active role in ending domestic abuse by speaking up, challenging harmful behaviours, and helping create safer communities for all.

The charity is encouraging residents of all ages to join their one-mile circular walk, starting at 10am at the Guildhall, Andover (SP10 1LG). The walk aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, sending a clear message that Andover stands united against all forms of harm.

After the walk, participants are invited to stay for refreshments and an opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about building a community free from fear and intimidation.

Organisers say the event is open to everyone and hope families, friends, local groups, and workplaces will show their support by attending and spreading the word.

Anyone wishing to take part is asked to RSVP to Cheryl.Chalkley@findingfreedom.org.uk so the charity can plan appropriately for refreshments.

Finding Freedom From Abuse hopes that this year’s campaign will not only raise awareness but inspire long-term commitments to challenging abuse and supporting survivors across the region.
