Passengers travelling to or from Andover this weekend are being advised to check before they travel, as planned engineering works on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March will disrupt services across the South Western Railway (SWR) network.

What’s happening?
Engineering works will close the railway lines around Basingstoke and Woking, affecting key routes between Andover, London Waterloo, and neighbouring towns. To keep passengers moving, rail replacement buses will be in operation across several routes, including:
- Woking to Andover (via Guildford and Basingstoke) – Sunday 9th March only
This means direct trains between Andover and London Waterloo will not run as usual, and journeys will take longer than normal. Passengers are urged to allow extra time for their travel and check their journey before setting off.

Non-folding bicycles cannot be carried on replacement buses, so cyclists will need to make alternative arrangements.
