Vernham Dean Pupils Learn Tricks and Confidence with Team Rubicon Visit

Children at Vernham Dean Primary School enjoyed an action-packed morning on Friday 23rd May as they welcomed Team Rubicon, the UK’s leading provider of scooter and skateboarding coaching.

The exciting visit saw pupils across the school take part in hands-on sessions designed to boost both skills and confidence. Children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 were introduced to scooter safety, learning about road etiquette and how to stay safe while having fun. The session then moved on to some impressive scooter tricks, leaving pupils inspired and smiling.

Key Stage 2 children had the opportunity to explore the world of skateboarding, receiving expert guidance from the experienced Team Rubicon coaches. For many, it was their first time stepping onto a board, and the experience was met with enthusiasm and determination.

Mrs Holly Bulpitt, Head of School, said:
“Offering our children new and interesting experiences where they can learn new skills and gain in confidence is so important to us at Vernham Dean. It was a fabulous morning and just so wonderful to see our children trying something new and getting a real sense of achievement.”

The sessions were met with beaming smiles and excitement from pupils, with the energy and enjoyment clear throughout the morning. The visit from Team Rubicon proved to be not only fun but also a valuable opportunity for pupils to develop physical coordination, perseverance, and a sense of personal success.
