Millway House in Andover has proudly celebrated its newly awarded Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation with a special tea party held in the care home’s garden.

The event brought together residents, staff, and a host of special guests including members of the Millway House Veterans’ Breakfast Club, military personnel from Army HQ and 26 Engineer Regiment at Perham Down, and Test Valley Veterans’ Champion, Councillor Ian Jeffrey.
In warm summer sunshine, guests enjoyed traditional afternoon tea and entertainment from the lively Garston Gallopers, whose Morris dancing brought smiles all round. Some guests even joined in the dancing, adding to the celebratory spirit of the day.
The VFF accreditation plaque was officially unveiled by RSM Hammie Brown from 26 Engineer Regiment and Councillor Ian Jeffrey, marking Millway House’s formal recognition as a veteran-friendly care home.
Claire Lousteau, Care Home Manager, said: “We are so proud of this achievement. It’s just the beginning of our journey to continue making Millway House a welcoming and supportive home for our veterans. We’re excited for future events and partnerships.”
Millway House is part of the AgeCare group, with all nine homes currently working towards the VFF accreditation to support veterans across their communities.
