Motorcycle Auto Jumble Sale Planned at Andover Norton in April

Motorcycle enthusiasts and classic bike owners are invited to attend an Auto Jumble Sale at Andover Norton in Andover on Saturday 18 April.

Andover Norton

The event will run from 10am to 2pm at the company’s warehouse on North Way, where visitors will be able to browse a selection of seconds, new old stock and second-hand motorcycle parts.

Organisers say there will also be tea, coffee and bacon rolls available, making it a relaxed opportunity for bike enthusiasts to meet, chat and search for parts.

Andover Norton has long been associated with the Norton motorcycle brand. The company was established in 1977 by Norton Villiers in Andover to continue the manufacture and distribution of Norton spare parts after Norton Motors Ltd went into liquidation.

Today, the company still works from North Way in Andover, just across the road from its original 1977 site after relocating there again in October 2019.

Andover Norton holds much of the original Norton tooling and engineering drawings, allowing it to manufacture parts to the original specification, or improved versions where appropriate. Many of these components are produced by specialist suppliers including foundries, forges and machine shops in the Midlands.

The company stocks parts for a wide range of classic Norton motorcycles including the Norton Commando, as well as earlier models such as the Dominator, Atlas, P11 and Norton Singles.

It also owns the complete ex-factory stock of parts for Norton Rotary models, along with the technical drawings and historical records for those machines.

Andover Norton supplies both retail customers and selected members of the trade, and the jumble sale offers a rare opportunity to pick up parts directly from the warehouse.
