Hampshire Police have issued the following statement:
We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A303 eastbound near Andover.
Police received a report at 7.26am this morning (Tuesday 27 February) of a single vehicle collision on the road, just east of the railway line.
A full closure is in place at the top of the Hundred Acre roundabout on to the A303 eastbound, and this is likely to remain in place for some time while emergency services conduct enquiries at the scene.
Traffic is being diverted into Andover, which may cause significant disruption for morning commuters, so we would advise seeking an alternative route while the road remains closed.
