Police investigating a voyeurism incident in Andover want to trace a potential witness who may have important information.
Officers were called after a report that a man was looking under cubicles inside the female toilets at The John Russell Fox pub at around 10.30pm on Sunday 27 July. A 64-year-old man from Andover was arrested on suspicion of observing a person doing a private act and has been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue.
As part of the investigation, officers are trying to identify a woman who may have seen the man inside the toilets. She had long hair and was wearing a dark, off-the-shoulder jumper. Police stress she was not observed by the man and is not in trouble; she is sought solely as a significant witness.
It was also reported that the same man – described as white, in his 60s and wearing glasses – entered the female toilets at The Redbridge pub in Bridge Street between 5.20pm and 8.20pm the same day.
Were you in either pub at those times, or are you the woman described?
