Police in Andover are appealing for witnesses following reports of an assault at a nightclub in Andover.
The incident took place at around 1.30am this morning (Sunday June 25) by the male toilets in Plush Lounge Bar on London Street.
A 35-year-old man suffered facial injuries as a result which required hospital treatment.
Detective Constable Mike Higgins said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after it was reported that a man was assaulted between 1.30am and 1.40am this morning.
“The incident took place in the foyer area between the toilets and the main part of the nightclub on the first floor.
“We believe a number of people would have been in this area at this time, so if you saw anything please contact us, as the information you provide may be significant to our enquiries.”
A 21-year-old man from Andover has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody at this time.
