Earlier this summer, we reported on nine-year-old Faith Howe’s inspiring “One Mile a Day” challenge in support of Young Lives vs Cancer. Since then, Faith has continued her incredible efforts and has now raised more than £2,200.

Her challenge has seen her complete a mile every day in creative ways – from walking and running to bouncing on a space hopper – and most recently, she took on a major milestone with a one-mile swim.
The event took place at Rookwood School, where Faith completed an amazing 65 laps in five hours.
Headteacher Paul Robinson said:
“We were delighted to support Faith as part of her One Mile a Day challenge. Her determination and commitment are inspiring, and we are so proud to have played a small part in helping her achieve this fantastic fundraising total.”
Faith’s mum, Sara, added:
“We really couldn’t have done it without Rookwood’s help. Having the pool available meant Faith could take the time she needed, and the team were so kind, supportive, and welcoming. It made all the difference.”
Faith’s “One Mile a Day” challenge continues until Sunday 31 August, and she is encouraging people to keep backing her campaign as she pushes towards the finish line.
