Police investigating the death of a woman in Andover have charged a man with murder.
Officers were called at 8.26am on Saturday, 8 March, to reports of a serious assault at an address in Burkal Drive.
At the scene, 60-year-old Anjela Chetty, from Andover, was tragically pronounced dead. A second woman, also in her 60s, was discovered with serious injuries.
Following enquiries, police charged 31-year-old Sashin Vishay Kumardew, of Burkal Drive, Andover, with a number of offences, including:
- Murder
- Attempted murder
- Two counts of possession of a Class A drug
- Possession of a Class B drug
Kumardew has been remanded in custody.
