This September marks a fresh start for a familiar favourite, as the Hampshire Air Festival takes to the skies at Thruxton Aerodrome, bringing the “Age of Flight” to life with family-friendly fun and a Saturday night extravaganza.

Reimagined for 2026, the event blends its aviation roots with a broader festival atmosphere, bringing together flying displays, entertainment and family-friendly attractions across 12–13 September, with support from Love Andover and Andover Radio
Early bird tickets are on sale now, but only until 30 April, offering a limited chance to secure a place at a reduced price.
While aircraft remain at the heart of the event, the Hampshire Air Festival is aiming to deliver something more immersive than a traditional airshow.
Expect moments that grab your attention without warning, the sudden roar of a fast jet, the precision of an aerobatic display, or the unmistakable silhouette of a Supermarine Spitfire passing overhead.
Well-known favourites such as the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers are set to return with their crowd-pleasing routines, alongside a mix of historic aircraft and modern performers designed to keep the programme varied and unpredictable. Click here for the full list of confirmed aircraft.
On the ground, the festival leans into its broader, family-friendly feel.
Street food, live entertainment and interactive exhibits create a relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, making it just as enjoyable between displays as it is during them. Living history elements also bring an added layer of interest, connecting the aircraft in the sky with the stories behind them.
With a refreshed identity, a new home at Thruxton and growing local support, the Hampshire Air Festival is positioning itself as more than just an aviation event, but a standout weekend in the South’s events calendar.
