Meet the TVBA Doing Business Locally Award Finalists

La Di Da Interiors in Andover

With only 4 weeks to go until the Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony at The Museum of Army Flying on 14th September, the spotlight is on the “Doing Business Locally Award”, sponsored by IT consultancy, Taylored IT Ltd.

Doing Business Locally celebrates the great value of Test Valley businesses working with each other and making a difference to their community.

Vibrant local business communities offer a great way for businesses to grow together, whether as customers, clients, suppliers or for recruitment and innovative marketing.

The Test Valley Business Awards Gala evening represents a great opportunity to hear about and celebrate the success of just some of our fascinating enterprises. It also allows guests to network with like-minded local businesses and gain valuable publicity to promote themselves.

The finalists in this category for 2017 are:

  • Braishfield Pantry Community Shop & Café
  • The White Hart, Andover
  • La Di Da Interiors

Stephanie Briggs of La Di Da Interiors commented of being shortlisted “We are delighted to be a finalist in the Doing Business Locally category.”

We support and promote other local businesses wherever possible and it’s lovely to be recognised for that. Our local products are incredibly popular and we love creating new products that help to promote the area.”

We are looking forward to the Gala evening, it will be a fabulous chance to network and make valuable contacts throughout Test Valley.”

Similarly, Anne Edwards of Braishfield Pantry Community Shop & Cafe remarked “Doing Business Locally’ is at the heart of Braishfield Pantry’s ethos, so imagine the great sense of excitement that’s buzzing in our community shop and cafe as we look forward to being a finalist in this category of the prestigious Test Valley Business Awards!”

It is so rewarding to have had our thriving rural enterprise recognised and celebrated alongside other wonderful established and innovative businesses in this year’s show-case.”

Our motto, ‘Live Life Locally’, reflects our aim of supporting the region’s producers whenever possible.  Our super volunteers offer a warm Braishfield welcome alongside a range of quality goods and home-baked treats to all our customers who tell us that they’re happy to support an independent retailer and the dedicated, hard-working suppliers in our special part of Hampshire’s Test Valley.”

Now in its 13th year, the Test Valley Business Awards – run by a small steering group of volunteers and supported by the Council – has become a well-established platform to promote businesses excellence and especially to shine a light on the many new and small innovative businesses operating out of sight. It is a great way to enable smaller enterprises to gain the recognition and exposure to grow.

The Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony will take place at The Museum of Army Flying on 14th September. Tickets are just £50 to include a welcome drink and sumptuous 3 course meal provided by Michelin Award Winning chefs McCrimmon & Reid.
