If you are looking for entertainment in Andover, pick up your copy of the Autumn / Winter brochure from The Lights.
The new season at The Lights will take you from those last lazy days of summer through to the dark cosy nights of winter and keep you entertained all the way!
The brochure kicks off in September with a packed month of music and comedy. Highlights include top tributes Pop-Up Bowie, Purple Zeppelin and the King of Pop and there is also original music from Phil Beer (Show of Hands fame) and Emily Slade and award winning group The Roving Crows. The new comedy season starts in style with America’s Got Talent winner Paul Zerdin and his puppet sidekicks, swiftly followed by Phill Jupitus.
Headline acts throughout the rest of the season include theatre from the acclaimed Blackeyed Theatre Company with the brooding tale of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, a classic production of Wuthering Heights and the light hearted romp that is Sherlock Holmes and the Crimson Cobbles.
First timers to The Lights this season include Tenors Un Limited with their From Venice to Vegas show; Professor Robert Winston with his special feature talk on Modifying Humans, Where Does Genetics Stop; a firm festival favourite, Holy Moly and the Crackers with their lively and eclectic music, and Luke Jermay with his mind blowing Sixth Sense show – he really can read your mind!
The venue also sees a welcome return from favourites including Oas-is, The Take That Experience, Michael Portillo, Beverley Craven, The Rat Pack, Jethro, The Blues Band and Moscow Drug Club.
As if this wasn’t enough, there is also a packed programme of seasonal shows throughout December and January, guaranteed to get both children and adults in the festive spirit.
