A Carnival atmosphere for July’s Farmer’s and Crafts Market

This Sunday (16 July) the Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market shares the day with Andover Carnival, bringing a festival atmosphere to the town.

The market runs from 10am – 2pm and will be the perfect chance to shop for some scrumptious picnic goodies for the afternoon and the Carnival party in Vigo Recreation Ground.

Fabulous food stalls include Anna Valley Chillies; Greenfield Pork; Hampshire Gluten free for bakes and cakes, and the Unusual Pork Pie Company.  More treats can be found at market newcomer, Mama C’s Cupcakes.

There will be a range of other stalls featuring crafts, plants, jewellery, cosmetics and more.  Visitors can also embrace the carnival spirit early with face painting and glitter tattoos from Cazi’s Crafty Creations.  All set against background music from local talented singer John Springett from 12 – 1.30pm.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Phil North said: “This is a bumper Sunday in Andover’s calendar and showcases what a vibrant place the town can be.  I would encourage everyone to make a day of it and support both the market and the carnival.

The market is on Sunday, 16 July from 10am – 2pm.

Farmers’ and Crafts Markets are held on the third Sunday of each month throughout the year.
