Ready Reads at Andover library

Andover library is now closed for browsing. But customers can still borrow and reserve physical items at public libraries by using the Ready Reads service or reserving online.

Children can access books for free through the Ready Reads service. Parents/carers can either fill in this form online here or ring 01962 454747 (local rate charges apply) where staff will do it for them. They can let the staff at Andover library know what type of books their children like and how often (monthly or every 2 weeks) they would like to collect them.

A member of staff will be in contact when you can collect your books from your local library’s entrance. Andover library has careful social distancing measures in place to keep you and their staff safe. You’ll have around five weeks to read your books and return them to your library. But all library fines are frozen at the moment.

You’ll need to be a Hampshire Library member to use this service. If you’re not already a member, you can join the library at https://www.hants.gov.uk/librariesandarchives/library/jointhelibrary.

The staff aim to find you books you’ll enjoy. They say that they won’t always get it right but they hope to introduce you to new books and authors you’ll love.

If you wish to reserve a specific title then please use their reservation service: https://www.hants.gov.uk/librariesandarchives/library/membership/reserve.
