A major route near Andover has been closed in both directions following a serious collision earlier today (Saturday, April 11).
According to National Highways, the A303 is currently shut between the A342 (Andover) and the A338 (Shipton Bellinger) while emergency services respond to the incident.
All emergency services are in attendance, including an Air Ambulance, highlighting the severity of the crash.
Drivers in the area are being advised to avoid the route and seek alternative journeys where possible. Delays of approximately 15 minutes are already being reported on approaches to the closure in both directions.
National Highways issued an alert on social media urging motorists to check their routes before travelling.
There is currently no confirmed timeframe for when the road will reopen.
