Andover-based lift specialist Stannah has announced it will be holding a second charity abseil to raise funds for the UK Lift Industry Charity, following the success of its inaugural event last year.

The daring event is set to take place on Saturday 19th July at the Northampton Lift Tower, one of the tallest abseil towers in the UK. A group of committed Stannah employees – including members of the senior leadership team – will take part in the challenge to support industry colleagues and their families affected by injury or loss.
The UK Lift Industry Charity provides financial and emotional assistance to families within the lift industry facing hardship due to work-related incidents. The charity ensures help is available in some of the most difficult circumstances workers and their families can face.
“Last year’s abseil was a heartwarming event that brought our team together in support of a truly meaningful cause,” said Dan White, Service Director at Stannah Lifts. “This summer’s smaller abseil gives some of us who couldn’t take part before the chance to get involved – and it’s fantastic to see so many from the leadership team stepping up!”
To maximise fundraising, Stannah is covering all abseil costs, meaning 100% of donations will go directly to the charity. The company has also pledged to match the final fundraising total, effectively doubling every contribution made.

With 11 branches nationwide, Stannah remains a key name in lift installation and servicing. Their continued support for industry causes highlights not just a commitment to excellence – but to the people behind the profession.
