Be one of the first to enjoy a sneak preview of the emerging proposals for the redevelopment of Andover town centre next week at a drop-in shop at 4 Bridge Street.
Representatives from HemingwayDesign, NEW masterplanning and Test Valley Borough Council will showcase the initial redevelopment ideas influenced by feedback from nearly 3,000 respondents who took part in the town centre survey earlier this year.
The team will be on hand to answer questions on the once in a generation opportunity to transform the town and discuss the common themes raised so far.
The shop will be open from 10am to 5pm from Wednesday December 11 until Saturday December 14 and 10am to 3pm on Sunday December 15.
Lora White at NEW masterplanning, said: “Following a fantastic response to our initial town centre survey, we have been busy developing plans for Andover town centre. The drop-in shop will be the perfect opportunity for everyone to take a look at our vision for Andover and share their thoughts. We and council officers will be on hand to answer any questions and look forward to hearing visitors’ feedback.”
Masterplan project lead at Test Valley Borough Council, Paul Jackson, said: “We’d love for as many people as possible to come along and take a look at the initial proposals and give us their feedback. We’re really keen to shape the town alongside residents and businesses, so your views are vital.”
Appointed by Test Valley Borough Council, NEW masterplanning and their partners HemingwayDesign, will continue to draw together feedback from local residents and businesses, feasibility studies and other key statistics to inform a masterplan for the town. This will then act as a blueprint to redevelop and enhance the area.
The master planning team is also set to host an event with a range of community and business representatives at St Mary’s Church on Wednesday December 11, where they will explore the ideas put forward so far.
