A popular Andover restaurant is throwing its support behind a local children’s charity this June as part of a month-long fundraising initiative.
The team at Vicolo Lounge has selected Kids on Track as its chosen charity partner for LoungeAid Month, an annual campaign that sees Lounges across the country go the extra mile to raise money for causes close to their hearts.
Throughout June, staff and supporters at Vicolo Lounge will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities and challenges, including 3K and 5K runs, with all proceeds helping to support the work of Kids on Track.
Founded in 2016, Kids on Track works with children from under-resourced areas of Andover, helping them build confidence, resilience and self-belief. Through long-term mentoring and support, the charity empowers young people to recognise their potential, overcome challenges and create positive futures for themselves.
The charity provides a nurturing and dynamic environment where children are encouraged to explore new opportunities, develop new skills and build trusted relationships that can have a lasting impact on their lives.
Vicolo Lounge is encouraging customers and members of the local community to get involved throughout the month, whether by supporting fundraising events, sponsoring challenge participants or making a donation online.
A spokesperson for the campaign said: “We have plenty going on throughout June, with exciting activities, events and opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of local young people. Every bit of support helps us continue our work and create positive opportunities for the children and families we serve.”
Donations can be made securely through JustGiving, with funds going directly to Kids on Track. Organisers say every contribution, no matter the size, will help the charity continue its work and reach even more young people across the town.
Vicolo Lounge is also hoping local organisations and residents will help spread the word and support the campaign, ensuring LoungeAid Month makes a meaningful difference for children and families in Andover.
