Young Motocross Star George Fenwick Races to the Top of National Championships

A six-year-old motocross rider is making waves on the national stage, with his rapid rise through the ranks capturing the attention of the racing community.

George Fenwick, whose journey has been proudly supported by his mother Shannon Fryer, first discovered his love for riding shortly after his third birthday. Starting out on a small electric balance bike, what began as simple playtime quickly developed into a true passion for the sport.

Over the past three years, George has progressed steadily through the classes, collecting multiple podium finishes and building both his skills and confidence along the way. Now competing on an MX10 electric motocross bike, he has taken a remarkable step forward in 2026 by entering two national championships.

Following the opening rounds of both competitions, George has stunned competitors and spectators alike by securing first place in both championships, with the possibility of entering a third series later in the season.

His journey has not been without its challenges. Long hours at the track, combined with the highs of success and the occasional setbacks, have all played a part in shaping his determination and love for motocross.

The racing bug has clearly become a family affair, as George’s younger brother has already begun to follow in his footsteps. He recently completed his first race just before turning three and celebrated with a podium finish of his own. He is now taking part in monthly races as he begins his own journey in the sport.

Shannon Fryer has expressed her gratitude to those who have supported George’s development, highlighting the impact of coach Joe Clayton, who has worked closely with George over the past year. She also paid tribute to the family’s 2026 sponsors, including Arnie Laughton of Perfect Bore Manufacturing, James Johnson of HSA Property Maintenance Service, and clothing sponsor MUD MONKEY.

The Fenwick family say they have been overwhelmed by the encouragement received from friends, family and the wider motocross community.
