The Jamie G Sporting Trust held its annual Golf Day at Andover Golf Club on Friday, 19th September, bringing together supporters for a day of competition, camaraderie and fundraising.

The event, organised by Ivan Gentleman, began with a hearty pre-match meal of burgers and baps at 11am before tee-off at 1pm. Players were treated to glorious sunshine, which set the scene for a day of fun on the immaculate fairways.
Thanks were extended to Andover Golf Club President, Mark Gates, for hosting the event, and to greenkeeper Sid, whose hard work ensured the course was in perfect condition. Behind the scenes, Carol, Becky and the wider support team were also praised for their efforts in making the day run smoothly.

Guests were also quick to recommend the club’s food, with the “chunky chips” earning high praise as “the best in town.”
The day concluded with an awards presentation, celebrating achievements on the course. Most importantly, the event raised a grand total of £1,203.20, which will go directly towards supporting young people in sport across the community.
The Jamie G Sporting Trust has been a long-standing supporter of youth sport in Andover, and this year’s Golf Day once again highlighted the community’s enthusiasm and generosity in backing local talent.
