Nominations are now open for the 2026 High Sheriff of Hampshire Community Awards.

The awards celebrate the efforts of volunteers, charities, community groups and public servants who make Hampshire a safer and more connected place to live.
This year, particular recognition will be given to individuals and groups who support the criminal justice system. This includes work in prevention, rehabilitation and social change.
Nominations close at 5 pm on 19 December 2025. The awards ceremony will take place in early spring 2026.
Previous winners have included volunteer police community support officers, community first responders, scout leaders, foster parents and local charities working to strengthen community safety and cohesion.
Work being recognised must take place in Hampshire, including Portsmouth and Southampton. Local nominations from Andover and Test Valley are encouraged. The last High Sheriff of Hampshire from Andover was Lilian Jane Benson in 2006.
Full details and the nomination form can be found on the High Sheriff of Hampshire’s website.
