Police Appeal for Witnesses After Serious A303 Collision

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision on the A303 near Bulford yesterday evening.

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway at around 5.50pm on Friday, May 23, after a collision involving a Toyota Yaris and a BMW R1250 motorcycle. Both vehicles were travelling eastbound at the time of the incident.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 60s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the driver of the Toyota Yaris, a man in his 30s, was not injured.

The A303 was closed for several hours between the Countess Roundabout and the A338 junction while investigation work took place. The road has since reopened in both directions.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
