A brand-new youth-led punk festival is set to hit Andover this autumn, with organisers promising loud music, mosh pits, and a rebellious spirit.

Andover Anarchy will take place at The Lights on Wednesday 29th October 2025, offering young people a free day of live music and entertainment. The event is being run in collaboration with the Yellow Brick Road Project, a local charity that supports and inspires young people.
Organisers Ally and Seren, both 15, came into the Andover Radio studios to chat with presenter Ben Tuffin about the event, sharing their excitement and vision for the festival.
Ally explained:
“This festival is happening on October 29th, and we just want to inspire young people to start picking up instruments. We’ll have loud music, hopefully a few mosh pits, and just a relaxed atmosphere.”
Ally, a punk fan whose love of the genre began with his Dad and with bands like Green Day and Blink-182, hopes the event will spark a new wave of creativity among young people in Andover. .
Alongside the music, the festival will feature merchandise and food trucks, with organisers keen to make the event affordable and accessible.
Seren, who is leading the marketing, said:
“We’re very happy to be selling merchandise, which won’t be expensive, so everything is affordable alongside the free tickets. I’m really excited to see young people’s faces when they hear the music and see everything we’ll have.”
A dedicated punk fan, Ally believes the genre doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves in today’s music industry.
“The industry has become much more divided and mainstream, so you don’t tend to see these underground scenes with more political-based things. That’s why events like this are so important.”
The organisers are still looking for local bands to join the line-up, with two performance slots available. While the focus is on young musicians, the call is open to anyone with a punk or rock edge. Interested performers are encouraged to email admin@yellowbrickroadprojects.com.
This is the first Andover Anarchy festival, but Ally and Seren hope it will become an annual celebration of music and rebellion. Seren added:
“Our slogan is the new generation of rebellion – and that’s exactly what this is about.”
