Mooch has emerged as the winner of Andover’s Christmas Window Competition 2023. Organised by InAndover from Andover BID, the competition ran between 1st and 21st December.
An online vote was set up via the InAndover website and paper forms were available at the Library for those who were unable to vote online. The judging panel of TVBC Leader, Cllr Phil North, Andover Town Mayor Robin Hughes, Cllr Iris Andersen and BID Chair Ange Moon visited each window earlier this week and gave their scores.
Local shop Mooch secured the top spot in the Christmas Window Competition, winning £150 for a charity of their choice. They chose to donate the money to Love Aid UK , an Andover-based organisation looking to support local charities and community values. Meanwhile, Pennies received acknowledgement as a runner-up and both Frango Grill and Travelling Cupcake received a Highly Recommended for their festive displays.
This year saw the participation of 31 local traders, taking part, each adorning their windows with diverse Christmas designs and themes.
Andover BID’s organiser Katie Tricker said, “A sincere thank you to all the businesses for participating and contributing to the festive atmosphere in Andover. Special thanks to our judges and the individuals who took the time to vote for their favourite displays.”
