Andover’s Jake Archer leads in to Brands

After securing his wildcard entry for the forthcoming British MotoGP,  Jake Archer returns to domestic action this coming weekend 21-23 July in the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship.

Championship Leader Archer will be keen to keep his grasp on the top spot, ahead of rival and team mate Tom Booth Amos. As we approach the half way point in this years proceedings, both Team City Lifting riders are in perfect position to take this season’s title and on current form they may open up an unassailable gap on the pack behind come Sunday evening.

8 out of 9 races have been won by the duo with only Elliot Lodge picking up the other 25 points for a win at Donington. Jake is the man bang in form picking up a top 2 finish in 6 of the last 7 races and knows he has good pace around the GP configuration.

In last season’s corresponding event at Brands ( Round 7 ) Archer secured a brace of third places as Charlie Nesbitt dominated the weekends racing.

Jake said “I’m confident going into Brands, I can go quick on the GP circuit but know Tom will be right there with me. The bike is so much better this season so I hope to improve on last years third places. I’d love to do the double at Brands it’s one of my favourite tracks.”

This weekends action starts on Friday 11.10 – 11.40 for Free Practice 1, with FP2 scheduled for 16.10 – 16.40. Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning 09.00 – 09.30 with Race 1 at 15.20 and finishes with Race 2 on Sunday at 14.40.
