Breastfeeding Appointments for Andover Mums

You can book breastfeeding appointments for one to one support by video or phone from the Hampshire Breastfeding team.

They posted on their Facebook page a reminder that they are still offering support to new mums.

They say, “These FREE week day appointments are in place of our regular NCT face to face drop-ins in Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester. The appointment is with a professional NCT breastfeeding counsellor. The support is for local Hampshire women – those booked to have a baby at Andover, Basingstoke or Winchester hospitals or at home, in this area – bookable Monday to Friday. If you would like to arrange an appointment with a breastfeeding counsellor, please send your name, mobile number and postcode to their Facebook page here on Messenger and one of the team will contact you to arrange a phone or video call.”

You can also call The Hampshire Breastfeeding counsellors on 07452 983313

“You can also call the NCT infant feeding helpline any day of the year between 8am and midnight on 0300 330 0700. A breastfeeding counsellor is being paid to take your call between these times.”

What are parents saying about the service?

They share with us some feedback on what local parents are saying about the service.

“The support we have received since the arrival of our son has been invaluable – especially in a period of ‘lockdown’ where at times we didn’t know where to look for answers. A Zoom video session with (a breastfeeding counsellor), followed by text and call support has led to a happier baby and much more confident and relaxed parents! We can’t recommend Hampshire Breastfeeding Counsellors enough. Thank you!“”

“The breastfeeding counsellor was extremely helpful and set our minds at ease. We were able to carry out her suggestions, ideas and tips as she watched on and expertly guided us. Highly recommended!”

“she was able to identify immediately the issues I was having with the latch… we were able to use our ipad to get really close so the breastfeeding counsellor could see everything in detail, I don’t feel we missed out anything by not having a consult in person”
