The Council is considering the future deployment of body cameras for its Parking Civil Enforcement Officers.

It is hoped that equipping the Enforcement Officers with body cameras will help to reduce incidences of abusive and aggressive behaviour.

The first stage in the process is to conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment. This is to ensure the use of the cameras takes into account the effect on individuals and their privacy. This Privacy Impact Assessment includes public consultation and the public will be invited to share any views they may have.

The public consultation will run from 1 May to 31 May 2018 and will appear as a News Item on the front page of the Council’s website. The consultation will also be advertised on the Council’s social media pages.
