Festive treat from local cleaning firm

Local business Moores Cleaning are rewarding their staff this year with a £50 voucher that will help go towards their Christmas shopping this year.

As the cost of living gets worse the management at Moores Cleaning decided to treat their staff with a High Street Voucher worth £50. The business that employs over 100 staff members are rolling this out now until next week giving their staff a much-needed bonus to help for Christmas.

Operations director Matt Whatley told us “With the cost of living crisis we are aware it is going to affect many people. What we have decided to do for our staff is gift them a £50 voucher that they can use for presents or food & drink this year. Just to help to give them that little bit of support and a thank you for all their hard work.

“We have been talking since April about the cost of living crisis and what we can do for our staff to ease that burden. Obviously we would love to do wage rises but with everything we are affected too so it’s out of our hands to do that, so let’s do this way to help them with their Christmas.

“Over 100 employees will benefit and any new staff we take on from now up until Christmas we will hold back that £50 voucher and give it to them if they pass their probation period, so they don’t miss out”.

“So that’s just over £5,000 of vouchers we are providing”

Moores Cleaning has been going over 30 years and was started by Darren Moore as a one man band and has grown it to what it is today. They are a cleaning company that deals with many clients across the UK and provide a top level service both domestic and industrial. Nick Butt is the managing director with Matt Whatley the operations director, the pair started working with each other window cleaning and have developed into integral parts of the business.
