Serenity Hair-sponsored Andover Ladies Rugby Team have been crowned champions of the Hampshire Women’s Touch Series after an outstanding performance in the final round of fixtures at Aldershot & Fleet Rugby Club.
Playing in glorious summer weather, the Andover side produced an impressive display of fast-paced, free-flowing touch rugby to win all five of their matches on the day. Their unbeaten performance secured the league title for the fourth consecutive year, underlining the team’s continued dominance in the competition.
The latest triumph marks another milestone for the club, with players delivering consistent performances throughout the series before sealing the championship in style in the final round.
Following the presentation of the championship shield, team captain Clare Hollinshead praised the commitment of the squad and those behind the scenes.
“I’m really proud to captain this amazing team that has worked so hard to achieve this fantastic league title, including those who couldn’t be here today. A huge thank you to the support and endless patience of our coaches and manager.”
With another successful season complete, Andover Ladies are now looking ahead to welcoming new players to the club. The team is recruiting for both its contact and touch rugby squads, with no previous rugby experience required.
