Mecca Bingo on Junction Road has today announced that 14th August will be the last operating day.
The much loved venue that has seen thousands of players over the years will be having it’s final game on Sunday 14th August.
On a post on their Facebook page it said “We can confirm that our official last day will be Sunday 14th August, so still 3 weeks for you to pop in and see the team before we close. It is still a very sad and difficult time, but the overwhelming support from you guys has been very special and we are super thankful.
“We still have some great offers going on before we close, including our Big Money Weekend this weekend…and of course we are working on plans for our last week.
“Also, if you have any vouchers, then please aim to spend them before we close. We’ll keep you updated here on what those plans are once we have all the details”.
The popular venue was sold in September 2021 to unknown buyers. The venue which has been occupied by Mecca Bingo owners, The Rank Group since the 1990’s has been a staple in the community for nearly 3 decades.
This is not an isolated sale as The Rank Group have been selling other venues up and down the country as they felt the effects of the pandemic.
