Happy March!

Apologies as I am a few days late in writing, I had rather a lot going on in February. Something very special is that we scattered some of my dads ashes, although dad died in 2021 I had not had any ashes. His death had caused a family rift, which I really had to explore internally, it was very emotionally painful. I had to take responsibility for my part in the rift and heal, heal those inner wounds that had been inflicted, by myself and by others. Although this healing took some time it did happen with patience and kindness to myself and towards family members. I retrieved some of dads ashes and scattered them with my husband and children.

This wasn’t  my first experience with ashes, however I wanted to prepare my children as much as I could. My first experience shook me to the core, my expectation was very fine ashes,  like fire ashes, however the reality was quite different. We had conversations around the ashes and they all agreed on a place that was special. On the day all the children, my husband and myself without any planning stood together and threw ashes one after the other it was like dominoes, I looked behind me and in the ashes I swear I could see dad smiling, he approved of his resting place, I could hear him thanking me for returning him to the ground, freeing him.

The place was quiet which was unusual, there was a grey mist surrounding us all as we stood in the drizzle together, raindrops swelled and dropped off the bare branches, although this may sound miserable, it was a moment of beauty and tranquillity, life, death and love.

I also visited the Lost gardens of Heligan last month, if you haven’t had the chance to go I really would recommend it, it’s a place of sheer delight, hidden treasures everywhere you turn. One such treasure is the goddess sculpture, reminding us that we are all connected. She looks so peaceful and happy while she sleeps.

There is a picture on my Facebook page self discovery with Astara if you wish to see her. After this weekend away I have to say I was emotionally exhausted, so asked my husband to place crystals on me for a crystal healing, my choice was Clear Quartz, Angel Aura Quartz, Sodalite, Ugandan Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Carnelian and Red Calcite. I took myself  off into a very deep meditation.

This meditation was quite exquisite. I usually meet my spirit guides while I meditate, however this time I met a new one, his name is Kang Su. His guidance during the meditation was absolutely fascinating and I’m very much hoping I get to work with him again, the insights he provided were extremely eye opening, in fact I’d describe some of the meditation as mind bending.

Turning of the wheel to Ostara is 21st March, Spring Equinox, with full moon, worm moon on the 24th and 25th, it is named worm moon for the emergence of earthworms as the ground thaws.

You can find me on Facebook if you would like to know more about this, I’m always happy to chat spirit, search Self discovery with Astara.
