Andover’s local radio station has made a new appointment to its board of directors.
Ben Tuffin, 31, has joined the board of Andover Radio after one year as ‘Head of Opportunities’.
Ben has previous media experience having worked at the Andover Advertiser, Castledown Radio and Celador’s ‘The Breeze’.
Talking of the appointment made today (15th May 2019) the Liverpool FC fan and Shipton Bellinger resident said, “I am absolutely thrilled at this opportunity presented to me.
“I will continue to use all my knowledge and expertise the grow the radio station and its associated brands.
“It’s such a great working environment, it’s a fun, vibrant and exciting place to work and, really, no two days are the same in the world of radio.
“Love Andover is such a great organisation, we have helped promote over 200 local community groups, organisations and events. We have lobbied government, provided fundraising and hosted all of Andover’s most respected and biggest events.
From its launch in April last year, radio station management made a promise to people who give their time and skills to help them develop and grow within the organisation. Earlier this week they appointed a Station Manager and programme organiser. Craig Hicks and Cazi Brook take on the roles respectively.
Managing Director David Harber added, “Ben is an essential part of the family here at Love Andover HQ. He is the life and soul of the office environment and nothing makes me prouder than to help elevate, promote and recognise peoples’ commitment.
“As for Ben, it’s a real privilege to boost his ego. I have never heard an impromptu rendition of what I think was an attempt at a Backstreet Boys song through the medium of what I also think was dance.”
Ben will be focusing on business generation, and client management and driving the sponsorship and promotional opportunities that Andover Radio brings. The radio station boasts many tens of thousands of people who engage with the Love Andover brand across all platforms each week.
