Andover BID releases statement in support of local businesses during coronavirus

Andover BID have released a statement in support of local businesses in the town.

Andover BID says they will continue to support businesses in these ‘unprecedented times’.

“The response and reaction to COVID-19 is changing daily as are the effects on Andover town centre”. The Government is updating its information for businesses on a daily basis and it is widely anticipated that a statement will be made today or tomorrow about help to be made available for those who are self-employed.

“We are seeing businesses close their doors, some change opening hours and operating practices to continue to serve their customers and a reduced footfall as employees work from home where they are able, and people heed official advice to only make essential trips out.

“Keeping everyone safe and healthy, minimising the spread while supporting Andover businesses is key.

“Andover Business Improvement District is here through these times of uncertainty to support businesses in Andover town centre. Our services are available to support businesses.

“Business Improvement Districts are nimble, reactive and not for profit organisations established by and for the business community they serve. We will be here to pass on communications and advice to help and support you as much as we can during this time, as well as looking ahead at contingencies for business impact in the coming months ahead.

“Please feel free to get in touch with us @ info@andoverbid.org.uk

You can contact Andover BID at the office on 01264 930063.

“We will adapt our working practices in line with official recommendations as and when required but will always be accessible.
