Our Guide to Staying at Home with Kids through the Coronavirus for Andover families

Many parents, including myself are now facing the worry of what to do with our children now that schools have been closed. It is normal to be feeling worried at what the Coronavirus will mean for you and your family.

All local schools have send out learning packs and links to online learning, so that our children don’t miss out on their education. Visit your child’s school website or social media pages to find out details on these.

All clubs and events are cancelled, so what else can we do to entertain our children ?

There is a new Facebook group, called Isolation Tips for parents – Hampshire, set up for local families full of ideas on how to keep our children entertained . Click here to join.

Andover Library have a fantastic Digital Library which includes ebooks and e-audiobooks, newspapers and magazines as well as many other resources. They will be adding more to this collection over the comng weeks.

Joe Wicks The Body Coach is running a PE lesson on Youtube every morning at 9am.

Marwell Zoo are offering free worksheets. All their printable support materials are linked to the national curriculum and are specifically designed for a variety of ages. You can choose from a selection of engaging learning activities for all key stages (from EYFS to A-Level). Whether you want to learn more about our amazing animals, their adaptations or conservation – we have it all! Need extra support?
