Last night, (14 June 2021) Rooting for Andover presented their ideas for the community garden and told us about the latest updates on their plans. Michael Parker is one of the core team behind the formation of a brand new community garden project here in Andover, called Rooting for Andover, he presented his teams ideas.
They have found a piece of land on Augusta park that they may be able to use and have been to visit it with members of TVBC. They now have to await planning permission and are applying for funding to enable them to start the project.
Here are the plans that they have so far for the community gardens. Which include edible hedges, a wildlife pond area, a place to sit and chat, water troughs and an area where people can work together to grown fruit and vegetables .
