Police are appealing for information after reports that a man was assaulted in Andover town centre on Tuesday evening.
Officers were called to Andover High Street at 5.13pm on Tuesday 11 August following reports that a man had been assaulted.
Police attended the scene and spoke to witnesses in the area. However, despite enquiries at the time, officers were unable to identify or locate the reported victim.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that enquiries into the incident are continuing.
Officers are now asking anyone who witnessed what happened, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
Anyone who was in Andover High Street around 5.13pm on Tuesday, and may have seen an altercation or anything suspicious, is encouraged to contact police.
