Signalling problems delay train commuters

Signalling problems have been causing delays on the rail network this morning – and expected to continue the rest of the day.

Issues have hit commuters to and from Andover travelling via Woking and Clapham Junction. with South Western Railway issuing a statement about the delays.

We have been dealing with a number of signalling problems on our network today:

  • a number of problems with train detection systems at Havant
  • a fault with equipment in the signal box at Woking
  • signalling problem at Aldershot and Clapham Junction
  • a problem with the set of points at Staines.

Train services running across our network may be cancelled, delayed or changed.

We expect trains to be disrupted until the end of the day.
