Leading Hampshire-based disability charity Enham Trust will be hosting its first Disability Confident event on Friday 23rd March.
Exclusive guests will include Sarah Newton, Minister of State for Disabled People, Work and Health and Kit Malthouse MP, Minister for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance.
Recognising Enham Trust’s achievement in obtaining Disability Confident Leader status under the DWP Disability Confident scheme last year, the event will be open to employers and businesses in the Hampshire area. It will provide the opportunity to find out about the Disability Confident scheme itself which aims to challenge negative attitudes towards employing disabled people, promote equal employment opportunities and understand how being disability confident can change attitudes for the better.
