A new TV series that started last Friday has placed Enham Alamein Village at 47 in the list of 50 of Britain’s Secret Homes.
Michael Buerk and Bettany Hughes present the five-part series which reveals the stories of the people and houses that have changed the history of Britain and the world.
The clip is 17:45 into the video and is covered by Simon Weston and has interviews with residents Doug Saunders and Lily Robson.
Enham Alamein Village was the first post war rehabilitation centre set up in the UK and is now run by the Enham Trust.
Founded as a rehabilitation centre for ex-servicemen returning from the First World War, Enham has helped disabled people find new lives, homes and employment in unique and innovative ways for over 90 years.
