Harrow Way to Open Virtual Doors

Harrow Way Community School will be throwing open its virtual doors this month for a series of open events. A virtual open evening on Tuesday 22 September and virtual open mornings on Thursday and Friday 24-25 September will bring the school direct to prospective students and parents so they can explore the resources and hear from the Head, all from the comfort of their own homes.

Commenting on why they’ve moved their open evening and open morning online, Headteacher Michael Serridge said: “With current restrictions in place it will be very difficult for us to showcase Harrow Way as we would normally like to do so. And as in previous years we want to be able to give all prospective parents and students the opportunity to fully explore the school and see what we proudly have to offer. We may be going online to provide a virtual experience but we are determined to ensure these events as are close to the real thing as possible so parents can make an informed choice for their child.”

During the open evening Headteacher Mr Serridge will be presenting during a live-stream.  Virtual visitors will hear how the school performs academically, how student well-being is given a priority, how the school is rated by Ofsted and how the student experience evolves during their journey through the school.

Mr Serridge continues: “We hope these virtual events will give parents the information they need to make this all-important decision for their child. We want them to experience our school and to see the facilities and resources we have to offer students. We also want them to understand what we stand for, our ambitions for students and what makes a Harrow Way secondary education different and special too.”
