A-Fest is this Sunday – here is what you can look forward to

Andover’s youth festival, A-Fest, will be back onto the High Street for its eighth year, as it showcases amazing opportunities for young people in Andover, highlighting  the range of youth provision in Andover, including martial arts, arts and crafts, dance clubs and more.

Held this Sunday (8th May) from 10am to 3pm, the stalls and organisations will include:

Alongside the stalls, a fire engine, petting zoo, face painter, storyteller, wellow-weaver, attractions and live music from the A-Fest stage will be filling up the High Street with lots of things to do for the whole family. Music slots will be filled by Mad Melodies, Lani Clayton, Andover Youth Choir, Nuno and Beth Smith.

Dmitrijs Meiksans, co-organiser of the festival, said, “Over 30 stalls are ready to showcase what they have to offer to the young people of our town, plus the amazing attractions, demonstrations and music, making it an incredibly fun day for all. Please come along!”

A-Fest is proud to be supported by Test Valley Borough Council, Hampshire County Council, Andover Town Council and Test Valley Arts Foundation, alongside Love Andover and InAndover.

Katherine Bird, co-organiser of the festival, said, “I am very excited for A-Fest this year. As well as everything happening on the High Street, the event is a testament of what can be done when local organisations and activists work together to create something positive for the town.”
