Andover Campus Dance Performance showcased an incredible amount of talent.
The dedication and hard work of the students and staff shone through in their performance and demonstrated the hub of talent that the Creative and Performing Arts team nurture and develop.
After 5 weeks of hard work and practice, the students performed in 1803 theatre, a great facility the students use to practice and perform, helping prepare them for higher education or the performing industry. Furnished with industry standard light and sound systems, seating 100 people. The Dance Show is a fantastic opportunity for Andover Campus students to come together and work towards a common goal as both first and second years perform in the show.
Students at Andover Campus are supported by staff who focus on each individual student, offering personalised learning and support, so each student can reach their full potential. Supporting this Andover Campus is in the top 5% in the entire country for ‘Value Added’; a measure to the degree to which a student not only fulfil but achieve grades beyond their original potential.
Dance Lecturer, Alicia Barnett said: “My brilliant dancers have worked tirelessly this term! The Stage Management team helped with backstage and the lighting design for the performance and Dan Huckle, Stage Management Lecturer, and his stage student Elly orchestrated the lights and music. All the Performing Arts department have been supporting all the students throughout! A massive thank you to all involved, I am one very proud lecturer of dance.”
