Andover’s community pull together to support 28 families in the Crisis Centre this Christmas

Local woman Tania Hall, has reached out to her home town of Andover to support families living in the Crisis Centre this December to make Christmas ‘magical’ for those in hardship.

Tania originally set up a group the ‘Andover Baby Clothing Exchange‘ back in January this year, to collect unwanted clothes and baby equipment to donate to other families as well as ‘doing their bit for the planet’.

Talking to Andover Radio 95.9fm, Tania explained that “due to the pandemic and money becoming even tighter, our services have been in great need. This Christmas we decided that we wanted to make Christmas magical for those in hardship, so we put together a Christmas appeal to support the families in the crisis centre and in our community”. Tania went on to say “its been a great success and we are truly grateful for all the donations we have received”

The group are supplying parcels to 28 families in the Crisis Centre and hoping to support 50 families in total by teaming up with the ‘Christmas Cracker‘ project run by RCS. They are still taking donations up until Christmas so if you wish to help by donate new gifts for children or adults or any non perishable foods, Christmas coins and small selection boxes then please contact Andover Baby Clothing Exchange
