APPEAL: Following collision between car and child in Andover

Police in Andover are appealing to speak to a driver after a child was hit by a car in Andover.

At around 5pm on Friday 22nd December an 11-year-old boy was struck by a car travelling along London Road, near to the junction of Eastfield Road.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene before the child was taken home by a member of the public who was passing by.

The child suffered minor cuts and bruises, but was left distressed by the incident.

PC Graham Taylor said, “This incident involved a collision between a child and a car – described as a dark car.

“The driver of this vehicle did stop at the scene, but the boy was taken home, so we would still like to talk to the driver to establish the full circumstances.

“Further to this, if you witnessed the collision or have any further information then please call us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44170495825, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
