Artisan Market returns to Andover

The Andover Artisan Market will return to the High Street for the first time in 2020 on Sunday, 20 September from 10 am – 2pm.

Earlier scheduled markets from April onwards were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but a change in Government guidelines has meant that the market is set to return next month.

September heralds the beginning of autumn and a rich seasonal bounty, so it couldn’t be a better time to welcome the Artisan market back.  There will be a cornucopia of stalls selling food, crafts and gifts, all with appropriate distancing and safety measures in place.  Regular visitors will notice a new layout to the market to encourage safe browsing and movement among the stalls, and stallholders will all have hand sanitisers available for use.

Favourite stalls already scheduled to return include All Things Dog, Candle Delites and Fifi and Fris.  Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust will also be on hand to talk about all things conservation and provide information about their charity.

Music in the Time Ring is from talented local singers, Maddison Douch in the morning and Marie Ponting in the afternoon.

Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Phil North said: “I’m delighted to see the return of the popular Artisan Market to Andover.  September usually has the perfect mellow weather to suit a stroll along the High Street, so make the most of all the wonderful products on offer and please support our local traders and stallholders.”

The Andover Artisan Market is due to be held on the third Sunday of each month until the end of the year.
