The Andover Soapbox Derby, held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024, was a rip-roaring success! Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the event raised a fantastic £5,250 for the Andover Foodbank.
Organisers proudly presented a cheque to the Andover Foodbank. This vital contribution will provide much-needed support to local residents facing food insecurity.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the backing of everyone who made the Andover Soapbox Derby such a belter,” said a spokesperson for the event. “The atmosphere was electric, the racing was fierce, but most importantly, we were able to raise a significant sum for a very worthy cause.”
While the 2024 derby has crossed the finish line, plans are already underway for next year’s spectacle. The organisers are eager to build on this year’s momentum and are actively seeking new teams to join the fun. With eighteen teams already signed up, they’re confident the 2025 derby will be even bigger and better.
