Musical comedy duo Flo & Joan will be bringing their ‘Sweet Release’ show to The Lights this week on the 13th March, in preparation of filming the show as a special later this year.
The duo will be swapping the television screen for the intimate venue for the very first time in March. From the Nationwide advert, to Andover venue’s stage, the show will consist of hilarious songs and quips that will have Andover belly-laughing!
Originally from Portsmouth, the South Coast sisters are performing a limited number of shows this year; meaning a visit to the Andover venue will present a rare chance to be treated to one of the UK’s most recognizable acts perform a masterclass in comedy music! The duo has won multiple awards since they began performing in 2015. The piano/percussion pair has successfully toured in the UK, North America, and Australia. With festival performances at both music and comedy festivals, the British musical comedy act has consistently been selling out shows for years.
Fans of the singing sisters can expect deadpan delights, clever crescendos, and hilarious heartfelt moments throughout Sweet Release. A show that consists of songs about online dating, alien boyfriends, slapstick, and much more. It’ll prove to be another spring treat for patrons local to Andover.
The show is another great addition to the upcoming programme at The Lights, with a vast amount of forthcoming comedy nights in 2024. With a sold-out night with Ed Gamble in the same week, the Andover venue is regularly bringing a plethora of established comedians to Hampshire.
